Painters who know Tenleytown homes
Tenleytown sits on some of the highest ground in DC, along Wisconsin Avenue near American University. It's one of the city's oldest village crossroads, but most of its houses date from the 1920s through the 1940s: frame and brick colonials, bungalows and foursquares on leafy streets. Newer condos and apartments line the Wisconsin Avenue corridor near the Metro.
Houses from that era usually still have original plaster, old wood windows and trim, and many layers of paint. That calls for careful prep and lead-safe practices on pre-1978 surfaces. Condo projects come with building rules on elevators, work hours and insurance certificates, and we handle those details for you.
